As GP focussed on our Stiwdio and all things Portfolio at Mentra, Caroline drives post-investment support, governance and founder enablement. She is the team’s anchor for bringing incubator like support to our portfolio – practical, structured, and built from years of doing the work with hundreds of founders directly.
Her background spans over three decades in financial services, senior operations leadership and ecosystem building. She has designed and run founder support programmes across NatWest’s enterprise ecosystem, the Alacrity Foundation and the SETsquared Partnership, serving as Centre Manager in Bristol. During her time at SETsquared – recognised as the top UK & Ireland entry in the FT/Statista European incubator rankings – she led the initial delivery of a dual-use accelerator for NATO’s DIANA program.
Her lens is both practical and inclusive – as Chair of the Welsh Government review into supporting entrepreneurial women of Wales and CEO of Be The Spark (the Welsh Government’s response to the MIT REAP programme), she brings a clear-eyed view of the barriers founders face in the region, and shapes how Mentra responds to them.
Away from Mentra, Caroline is kept busy by her lovable sausage shaped terrors in Teddy and Gus.
